About

Dead Plains Photo is a collection of landscapes, wildlife, and forgotten places from across the American West. The name comes from a simple truth: some of the most beautiful places you’ll ever find are the ones most people overlook. From weathered windmills and abandoned structures to mountain sunrises and wandering wildlife, these photographs are created to preserve moments that exist for only a few seconds before disappearing again. Based in rural Colorado, I spend much of my time exploring back roads, public lands, wildlife refuges, mountain passes, and open prairie in search of those moments where light, weather, and landscape come together. My goal isn’t simply to document a location. It’s to create images that tell a story and bring a sense of the West into the spaces where people live and work. Every image offered through Dead Plains Photo is selected because it represents a place, a moment, or a feeling worth remembering.
